This week's Downers Grove Cruise Night was a little light on attendees compared to a couple of weeks ago, but it did not disappoint in its variety. It was great to meet !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! while he was in town. Some of the cars your family's friends have are amazing, and they need to be seen by more of us!

The Targa was for sale!

RALLY LIGHTS FTW!

This Roush Stage 3 Mustang was far and away THE meanest-sounding Mustang I have ever heard.

Mark II Mini Countryman

Austin-Healey 100. I keep forgetting how small these things are!

Kinja'd!!!

International Scout II. This definitely attracted a lot of attention.

Rancherooooo! 1 of 2 there.

There was a very strong showing of 50's and 60's Big 3 Luxo-Barges there. Here's a Chrysler Imperial

Shown here with a Plymouth Sport Fury

1960 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible

1962 Cadillac Park Avenue. In the background is an Oldsmobile 88.

There was also a rash of mid-engined beauties. Here's a fiat X1/9

Porsche 914

Toyota MR2 and Ferrari 360. Oddly enough, the 360 got less attention than the blue C7 Corvette did right behind it!

All in all, it was a great night. There isn't a cruise night on the 4th, so the next Downers cruise night is on 7/11. I hope to see more the Chicagoland Opponauts there at some point this summer!

How are these compared to Supercar Saturdays? Looks like less expensive but more interesting turnouts.

sidenote: went to a Porsche thing in Bolingbrook at the Promenade today, pretty uninteresting.

Nice post. A lot of nice cars. You think the Healy 100 is small, put it next to a Bug Eye/Frog Eye Sprite.

I saw one there, and I 100% agree with you.

Some of these cars occasionally make it to Supercar Saturday in Bolingbrook.

The biggest difference between the two is proximity. You could get a 1-2 mile walk in if you're there the whole time. Supercar Saturday probably has a similar turnout but a lot more compact.

I will hopefully have some pictures of the above mentioned friend's cars within a week or so.

That is the car, but it is the only one of his cars I haven't seen in person. My dad has, so I'll probably use his pics.
